WCS2016 Event overview

There are participation type event for general cosplayers, debut parade for representative cosplayers coming from all over the world, and world championship for cosplay performance.

This year's cosplay summit will have many activities for more than one week!

We will review and confirm the every event based on WCS2016 Special Presentation Event on May 14 at NicoFarre.

July 30「LAGU-COS 2016」 Free to photograph day and night on stages of Laguna Ten Bosch!

「All Night Cosplay Fes」 was held at「Lagunasia」in Laguna Ten Bosch last year as a private event and it was continued from night to mid-night to early morning!

But it was an only night project, there was a limit of access, age limit and time limit.

Therefore, the event will be held all day, it means from day time this year!

Important cultural property is distributed all over Japan since Meiji-era.

Museum Meiji-mura has the purpose to keep these architecture, to move to the same property and management.

You can enjoy cosplay shoots at Meiji-mura. It is very rare to open Meiji-mura for cosplay shoots. There are various architectures to be built in semi-foreign style.

Laguna Ten Bosch as a theme park, Museum Meiji-mura as a feeling history, the next is a wedding chapel. Real wedding chapel 「Bleu Leman Nagoya」 which has been used for bridal everyday. It opens as a photography party limited only this day for 5 hours.

Representative Team of Mexico, Grand Champion of WCS2015 Championship, will be invited as a special guest!

Food for the party will be luxurious Buffet from a wedding hall.

Details of World Cosplay Championship 2016!

World Cosplay Championship which decides the best performance of the cosplayers around the world!

The 30 teams will participate! The cosplayers who won preliminaries of each country, will meet in Nagoya for the championship.

August 6 & August 7 Increasing Dressing Rooms! Expansion the Venue! To enjoy Cosplay Summit comfortably 「Real Oasis Project」

Summer in Nagoya is hot. Summer of Cosplay Summit is hot, too.

In hot weather, many cosplayers who have more heat, participating Cosplay Summit.

Hot is hot!!

Therefore, an event can be enjoyed comfortably more than before, and a project which makes Cosplay Summit to Oasis for cosplayers.

This is「Cosplay Summit Real Oasis Project」!!

Contents of the project have many. The following is an itemized details.

*Increase the numbers of dressing rooms!

Many cosplay dressing rooms will be prepared for OASIS21 and Osu shopping area!

Total is 6, it is going to be increased in the future.

*Expansion an event venue!

Hisaya-odori Park where is located the next of OASIS21 main venue, will be a Cosplay Summit Venue! The southern area of TV tower may be changed dramatically!?　

*Setting a pleasant lounge outside

Outside in midsummer, under the blue sky.... Pleasant lounge will be set for cosplayers to have a pleasant time!

*Water is calling us!!

Sat., Aug. 6 & Sun., Aug. 7 in OASIS21 venue and Hisaya-odori Park venue, WCS official water will be distributed! Let's take the hydration frequently!

*Let's enjoy watching video in a super high definition 4K monitor!

4K monitor will be set in Hisaya-odori Park! Various videos will be watched in a spectacular screen.

*AOP will be cheering for cosplayers at an event.
AOP usually cheers anime, but on the day of an event, COP will come to cheer Cosplay Summit!? If you want to know more, please wait for the next news!
