Favorite Manga and Japanese Animation

All manga of Yuu Watase (Especially Fushigi Yuugi), Skip Beat (damn, that‘s so great), Fullmetall Alchemist (Anna brought me into this great series), Orphen, Tramps like us, NGE, X (I love the way the story takes), .hack (games/anime/manga) and of course

What's Japan to you?

A country with many faces and clash of cultures. Modern, loud, bright but as well traditional and quiet. For me, as a student of modern art, there is so much to experience, that is different to western tradition and cultures (in positive as well as in negative)

How many costumes do you have?

Well more or less 47 costumes (The first and the second were sewn by my mother, so let‘s say 45 costumes ;)) and the ones I‘m working on at the moment.

Favorite Manga and Japanese Animation

For Manga I go with xxxholic and Fullmetal Alchemist. I love both shows and I‘m more the shounen type. Not the girly one. Same goes for Anime, but add Mai Hime here. Action! Drama! ;D For Games, I guess I love Final Fantasy X most, because everything of it gave me goose pumps. I think it‘s the only game I played in which everything is just perfect.

What's Japan to you?

Japan is a country that‘s kind of torn apart between tradition in progress, and that‘s what it makes so very interesting. The culture and history is very different from ours. Apart from those quite obvious reasons, there‘s one thing in Japan that makes it special for me too: I never ate a big variety of food before I met my boyfriend. He loved Japanese food and forced me to eat it - I loved it! So Japanese food opened my door to a lot of foods, because I‘m not so shy in trying new things anymore.

How many costumes do you have?

For this, I will only count my animanga/games costumes. That would be around 38 then.
