Japan, to me, symbolizes the promise of tomorrow with a reverence for yesterday. It is a country that has such a rich and epic history, and beautiful traditions. An old nation that always seems to be taking great strides into the future with astounding technological advances - and also has a brilliant sense of whimsy - and fun! I have had the privilege to visit many times before, and each time I am filled with love for all the amazing places, and the people who always treat each other with such kindness and respect. Japan means delicious food, the perfect meeting of past and present, adventure and surprises. It is an utterly unique and special place.

Hello there, I'm Senra. I'm 23 and love singing - in the shower and on international television. Part time sleeping beauty and full time daydreamer. I'm quite the chatterbox and probably need a mute button. I have terrible eyesight and a bad habit of walking into things and people (I'm sorry!). After my music degree I'll be starting at a film academy so I can make Harry Potter level movie magic! To me Japan is a country with a rich history and vibrant popular culture scene! It is very diverse, incorporating and appropriating aspects of the Western world in some parts, while still honouring ancient traditions and celebrating a unique culture. I also think of how cool it is that you can get hot drinks from vending machines.

Hello! Please call me Alix (although I usually go by Alice online and when I order coffee). I am 22 and live in Sydney Australia. I spend five days a week in the coolest office in Sydney! Bondi beach is right at my doorstep! I have an English lit. degree, so I think books are pretty nifty. One day I'd like to write one. I consider myself an ice cream enthusiast, but I love most sweet food! Oh, and I think cosplay is pretty cool.
